About Me

Hi, I’m Nutbeam, a DJ and music producer based in Portsmouth, UK. My love for music started at a young age, with Daft Punk, Modjo, and the groovy sound of French house leaving a lasting impression on me. By my mid-teens, I was drawn to the melodic energy of Deadmau5, Skrillex, and Knife Party, which fueled my curiosity and got me experimenting with FL Studio. After turning 18, I fell in love with the energy of live music at events, but it wasn’t until recently that I decided to take DJing and producing seriously.

In my sets, it’s all about creating a vibe where people can let loose and feel something special. I steer clear of the usual trending tracks, opting instead for hidden gems, nostalgic favourites, and the kind of tunes that make you go, “What is this track?!”

Every moment behind the decks feels special, but it’s once I’m a few tracks in that I really settle into the flow and appreciate how far I’ve come. Producing is where I get to experiment and push myself creatively. it can take time, but finishing a track I’m proud of is always worth it.

While my sets span house, tech house, nu-disco, and progressive house, my favorite genre is Techno, and playing a full Techno set is a personal goal of mine. Outside of gigs and the studio, I’m always on the hunt for music to include in my mix series, Nutbeam: Reflects.

For me, it’s all about sharing music that resonates, creating energy, and making every moment behind the decks unforgettable.
